UAE communications forum returns for 11th year with focus on resilience amid regional uncertainty

More than 100 senior communications professionals from across the UAE will gather in Abu Dhabi on 23 June for MEPRA's annual UAE Leadership Majlis, now in its 11th year.

The forum's theme is "Emerging Stronger: Shaping What Comes Next," with sessions covering organisational resilience, internal communications and how the sector can help businesses and governments navigate uncertainty. MEPRA describes the event as a platform for "future-focused dialogue" amid what it calls "shifting regional dynamics and global change."

MEPRA chairman Justin Kerr-Stevens said: "During a period of significant regional and global shifts, it is more important than ever that we understand the opportunities and challenges shaping the communications industry, to ensure that we emerge stronger together. With more than 100 of the region's brightest minds in the industry set to attend, this year's forum will provide insights into the vital role communications in building resilience and setting the course for what comes next – not only for our sector or specific industries, but also for the UAE and wider region."Confirmed speakers include Brian Lott, Chief Communications Officer at Mubadala, Faheem Ahamed, Group Chief Marketing and Communications Officer at G42, and Mazen Nahawi, founder and Group CEO of CARMA. The full roster spans agency, corporate and government communicators.

MEPRA chairman Justin Kerr-Stevens said the forum would provide insights into "the vital role of communications in building resilience and setting the course for what comes next."

The MEPRA Fellowship will also be awarded, recognising outstanding contributions to the communications industry in the region.

The forum runs from 8.30am to 1.30pm at Saadiyat Rotana Resort and Villas, Abu Dhabi. Tickets are AED 900 for MEPRA members and AED 1,100 for non-members.
