Huawei unveiled its new HUAWEI Pura 90s Series at a global product launch event held at the Museum of the Future in Dubai on 16 July, alongside two other new devices, the HUAWEI FreeClip 2 Special Edition and the HUAWEI MatePad Air.

The Pura 90s Series is built around 5.5G connectivity and an updated camera system, the company said.

The Pura 90s Series includes a 200MP ultra-large sensor telephoto camera and what Huawei calls its ‘True-to-Colour Camera 2.0’, which the company says is designed to produce consistent results in long-range, macro and low-light conditions. The design follows what Huawei describes as its ‘Rhythm of Colour’ concept, combining a layered colour palette with a dual-tone gradient mid-frame.

MatePad Air adds AI writing tools

The HUAWEI MatePad Air integrates WPS AI, an office suite that includes an AI writing tool capable of generating topics, building outlines and drafting documents, according to Huawei. The tablet has a 5.3mm profile and features what the company describes as an ultra-clear OLED ‘PaperMatte’ display.

FreeClip 2 Special Edition launched in two colourways

The HUAWEI FreeClip 2 Special Edition, an open-ear earbud model, is available in two new colourways, Deepsea Blue and Space Silver, and uses a new charging case Huawei says was produced through more than 100 manufacturing steps
